Paul & Sherry Durnan - Event Chairs

Happily married for 58 years, Sherry and Paul Durnan are long-time residents of Rockville Centre.  They are the founders of the Durnan Group, Inc., one of the largest privately owned insurance agencies in New York specializing in workers compensation programs. 

Both Sherry and Paul are active in their community and are life-long parishioners of St. Agnes Cathedral Parish where they both serve as Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors.  Paul is currently Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Catholic Faith Network and was previously a board member of St. Francis Hospital and Chairman of the Board of Molloy College.  Sherry is also a member of the St. Agnes Ministry of Consolation that assists grieving families with a funeral Mass.  A former member of the Catholic Charities Board of Trustees, Sherry served as Board Chair for the Catholic Charities Board system.

Both Sherry and Paul have received numerous awards.  They received the St. Agnes Medal for their outstanding service in the Diocese of Rockville Centre, the Caritas Award from Catholic Charities, the Molloy College Lifetime Achievement Award and the St. Catherine of Sienna Award for their dedication to Catholic Education.

They are also the founding Co-Presidents of the Long Island Chapter of Legatus International, an organization of Catholic CEOs and their spouses that strives to strengthen the faith of Catholics in the marketplace.
